If you are going to the US Sailboat Show starting 8 - 12 October in Annapolis make a point of catching up with Ned Wood of Manson Anchors who will be on the Navimo USA Stand C20 – C22. We have rerun the feature story on Manson Anchors in this issue which includes the incredible video shot in Magellan Straits, Cape Horn from a yacht holding on a Manson Supreme in 80kts. Manson Anchors are Lloyds certified, this story will certainly make you ask some different questions next time you purchase an anchor, or consider whether your current gear is up to the job.
America's Cup continues to dominate the sailing news, but in a different way, in this edition.
We are featuring several stories from around the world, including a video report from Television NZ's Martin Tasker who is the first recognised sailing journalist to visit Ras al-Khaimah, the contentious venue for the 33rd America's Cup. There is of plenty of great video of the venue and you can hear Martin's reaction to Ras al-Khaimah.
There is a second video from Astrid van der Knaap, who lives in UAE, showing preparations around the regatta venue in Ras al-Kahimah.
And there's plenty more America's Cup comment in our e-Mailbag, plus news of the formation of an America's Cup Trust, by a US group.

The former Louis Vuitton World Series has had a change of name to the Louis Vuitton Trophy for the first round in Nice, France. Sail-World understands that the International Sailing Federation have sanctioned just one event so far, and there has been a subtle name change. Team Origin have announced they are joining the Nice event, and outline their plans for 2010, in this edition of Sail-World.

There's plenty underway or about to happen in US. We have a preview from Anna Tunnicliffe ahead of the Rolex International Womens Keelboat Championships being sailed out of Rochester, NY. the regatta is being sailed in J/22's with racing is scheduled to start tomorrow and continue through Saturday. There are 36 teams competing from five countries, including USA, CAN, NED, RSA, and GBR.
The J-30 North American's have been contested at the Cedar Point Yacht Club in Westport, CT, we have a full report in this issue.

In Bermuda current Tour leader Torvar Mirsky (AUS) and his Mirsky Racing Team leads Group 1 on opening day of Argo Group Gold Cup. We have reports and images from the World Match Racing Tour event.

Manson - making anchoring safer for you Richard Gladwell,  Anchors have two uses - the most frequent is to give safe holding in your favored bay or fishing spot. Paul Larsen....'Once we got it ashore we could do a basic damage assessment. Argo Group Gold Cup Bermuda - Penalty flags fly World Match Racing Tour Media,  Undefeated in all four matches current Tour leader Torvar Mirsky (AUS) and his Mirsky Racing Team leads Group 1 on opening day of Argo Group Gold Cup. In the Iehl/Corbett flight, Iehl was black flagged and the match automatically went to Corbett.
