Sail-World USA: 28 August 2009
 | | Day 1, Extreme 40 "Ecover" (EUR) skipper Mike Golding (GBR), capsizing between Race 3 and 4 in Kiel ThMartinez / Sea & Co © | Welcome Sail-World.Com's USA newsletter for 28 August 2009
A very short editorial today.
Overnight, the US crew of Stuart McNay and Graham Biehl have finished in 20th place in the 470 Worlds, after 12 races. They have missed the cut for the medal race, but had a good phase in the middle of the series, winning one race, however like a lot of other crews, fell off the pace after scoring a BFD in Race 7. We have daily reports and some great photo galleries from Juerg Kauffmann of www.go4image.com

US crews are dominating the SAP 505 Worlds being sailed off San Francisco. Mie Holt and Carl Smit have a handy lead in the regatta which is in its fourth day of racing. In this issue we feature reports from Rich Roberts and images from Erik Simonson of www.marinealliance.com who has been on the water every day of the regatta. You can see more of his images clicking here

On the America's Cup front, we will be publishing a major preview of the next round of legal action - expected soon and which we believe will have significant ramifications beyond just the America's Cup environs.
