A very short editorial today.

Overnight, the US crew of Stuart McNay and Graham Biehl have finished in 20th place in the 470 Worlds, after 12 races. They have missed the cut for the medal race, but had a good phase in the middle of the series, winning one race, however like a lot of other crews, fell off the pace after scoring a BFD in Race 7. US crews are dominating the SAP 505 Worlds being sailed off San Francisco. Mie Holt and Carl Smit have a handy lead in the regatta which is in its fourth day of racing. In this issue we feature reports from Rich Roberts and images from Erik Simonson of www.marinealliance.com who has been on the water every day of the regatta. 470 World Championships - Snakes and ladders on leaderboard Sailing Intelligence, 470 World Championship - With the final culling to determine the top 10 boats in both the Men and Women's Gold fleet going through to tomorrow's concluding medal races some impressive snakes and ladders took place despite the late stage of this regatta. The new and ultra exciting fleet drew people from all around the country. Mary Anne Ward says, 'I will drive anywhere in the USA to race a Melges 17, they are incredible boats to race.' New Zealand sailing icon honoured by school Richard Gladwell, One of the icons of New Zealand sailing, Ralph Roberts was today honoured to have a new building at his old school, named after him. At a hour long ceremony at Takapuna Grammar School, on Auckland's North Shore, the New Zealand Prime Minister performed the formal naming ceremony by unveiling a plaque to mark the occasion....
