Editorial, August 7, '09.
Home again after what could only be termed a full-on week at Sydney's Darling Harbour, hence the late newsletter.
Mother Nature played an important role, with Darling Harbour seemingly enjoying early spring weather throughout the 2009 Sydney International Boat Show.
The really good news was that I did not hear a single, negative comment from either an exhibitor or the many show visitors I spoke with.
As usual, an interest-packed edition with all sorts of news from the show, from exhibitors, offshore racing, water skiing, you know this is where you'll get the ‘good oil' on powerboat happenings.
Take a look at the piece on the Supercat Outboard offshore racer, ‘SUV Dodge Ram' – offshore racing is notoriously hard on engines and boats, yet this rig has allowed its crew to stand on the podium after every race in the Offshore Superboat Championships.
Colleague Jeni Bone covers some other boat building, this time a little less serious in the form of the popular Sydney show attraction, the Boat Building Competition.
All part of the service here at Powerboat-World.
We're already working on next week's edition and there's even more interesting reading headed your way, keep stopping by, hear!
