The Swiss have given up on hulls altogether (no, it can't possibly be a boat!), and Groupama and Sodeb'O are both on standby for record attempts.
A new season of iShares Cup is starting in Venice, and there will be not one, but two, boats there from Oman Sail.
The RHKYC closes down its official sailing season this weekend with their Closing Regatta, and the Royal Varuna will have a Big Boat division in the Firebird-Prince Bira Trophy next weekend.

Sponsorship Is Not A Dirty Word Chris Gill, www.windcheckmagazine.com,  What do sponsors want in return for their investment? Has anyone thought to ask? I know from my days at Rolex that I got a huge number of sponsor requests asking for money. In return for that, they would do 'whatever we wanted.' It was the usual spots to watch on a sponsor boat, tickets to parties, etc. Not what we needed. Our customers (jewellers) had no desire to go watch a sailboat race.... [more] Onsend this story
