Victories, new models and a fungus-buster
Another week gone, another week closer to the arrival of the big fellow in the Santa suit.
On the new front, there's been plenty, with Formula 1 and offshore racing in the Middle East, an early Christmas celebration with Mustang Marine and we take a look at a piece of US boating history with ‘Angus', a Burger-built classic that despite its age has never encountered salt water!
The powerhouse Victory team has clinched another offshore world title in style and local hero, Tom Barry-Cotter with his throttleman Pal Virik Nilsen have delivered what commentators have called “an impressive performance” in the new Maritimo-built catamaran.
American Jay Price has leapt clear to win the Formula I world crown and that man Steve Curtis is again to the fore for next weekend's offshore GP.
Away from the racing scene, full credit to Telwater, the Gold Coast parent company of Quintrex and Stacer, which continues to show a positive outlook by releasing new models.
While another Gold Coaster, Maritimo, has come away from the Phuket boat show with a confident air.
And for those fed up with the bottom-painting process to ward off fungus, algae and other marine growth, take a look at what Polycraft is up to.
Very interesting indeed.
But that's the aim of Powerboat-World.com – interesting. Stick with us for all the news that matters when it comes to powerboats and drop by at regular intervals.
You know you're welcome.
