It's a full house on the newsletter today, with VOR boats being repaired and getting back in the water, a storm-lashed start to the Vendee Globe, news from Auckland on the LV Pacific Challenge (yes, there IS a China Team), new records from L'Hydroptere, and much much more.

There's even (a very rare occurrence) a story from the Editor who got out from behind a desk AND put down the camera and went sailing - sadly, it doesn't happen too often, and it probably showed in the performance. But, hey, need to keep in touch with the subject matter somehow, and now I'm all fired up for some more! (Just don't get too close to me on a start line!)

Sail-World Asia is heading off to Kuala Lumpur today for the pre-amble and socials before the Raja Muda Selangor International Regatta starts on Saturday - and then, 3G willing, we'll be bringing you stories from "Asia's most tactical regatta" all the way from Port Klang to Langkawi, via Pangkor and Penang.

Lastly, a small conundrum: the Monsoon Cup's motto is "Monsoon Cup - you wouldn't want to miss it!" So why is it on 3-7 December - at exactly the same time as the Phuket King's Cup? Search me...
