Boating and Boats News

Boating enthusiasts across the Asia Pacific are looking forward to the forthcoming Sanctuary Cove International Boat Show, hardly surprising, of course, and we continue to preview some of the world releases scheduled for the May 22-25 boating bonanza for our 22,000 readers.

Today Jeni Bone sent our first ever Marine Business News e-letter to the Marine trade. If YOU are in the trade and YOU did not get that very interesting trade newletter, don't panic, You can subscribe here. Earthrace the 78 foot bio-diesel powered trimarran left Spain yesterday. We will have dailiy updates, as she aims to break the 1998 Cable and Wirless Round the World record.

We are proud that Earthrace is using Powerboat-World's satellite audio reporting technology

There is another circumnavigation going on too, albiet at a more leisurely pace. We start our series on Ian Reynolds? He's 79-years-old and shows us age is no barrier to circumnavigating Australia aboard his Riviera 56.

Today we report on F1 Superboats in Geelong, over the weekend and we preview the European round of the Formula I boats in Portugal.

Fairline Boats, those luxury motor yachts out of the UK, has been honoured with the Queen's Award for excellence, they too will be at Sanctuary Cove, more on that next week.

The Powerboat-World team took the trip up to Brisbane for the Tinnie and Tackle Show, now a component of the National 4 X 4 and Outdoors Expo.

Needless to say, the full team will be attending the Sanctuary Cove International Boat Show and all the glamour and excitement of the event will be revealed here as it happens.

As a hint for what's coming up, stand by for some great water ski picture stories and a fabulous spread on the late and great Don Aronow, the legend of offshore racing.

Stick with Powerboat-World.com – it's where all the news breaks and breaks first.
