Editorial - April 21 '08.
Another busy week in the Powerboat-World newsroom with items of interest coming in from all points of the compass.
Earlier in the week we were a guest of Telwater, parent company of famed ‘tinnies' Quintrex and Stacer.
The occasion was the release of nine new Stacer models for the 2008 model year and we can tell you now they're looking good.
Hot news also from The Riviera Group with some impressive export orders and we check out a fish boat come muscle boat from the legendary Cigarette Racing Team.
There are also problems a'plenty for Gold Coast waterways, with one prominent identity demanding the State Government accept responsibility for the situation.
Our MarineBusiness-World editor, Jeni Bone, gives us an insight into the perceived problems with superboat racing on Sydney Harbour and we offer a reminder of boating exhibitions to come, including the Sanctuary Cove International Boat Show and Brisbane's popular Tinnie and Tackle Show scheduled for next weekend.
Finally, as Australian and New Zealand subscribers would be well aware, the working week ends with that all-important day, ANZAC Day (April 25) when we pause to remember the fallen, not just those of ANZAC Cove, but in all conflicts we have been engaged in.
They shall grow not old, as we that are left grow old:
Age shall not weary them, nor the years condemn
At the going down of the sun and in the morning
We will remember them.
Lest we Forget.
