Mustang and More
No longer do I have to offer excuses for not revealing the name of Mustang Marine's new owner.
The long-running saga has finally reached its conclusion and the receivers appointed to the company have remained true to their word; they did sell the company as a going concern.
We unveil the new owner's name and background and give a brief insight into the manufacturer's future plans.
This week, just for fun we look at the new semi submersible powerboats being trialled in the UK.
We've also paid a visit to Jones Bay Wharf, down Pyrmont way, just a stroll from Darling Harbour where we checked in with Yachting Unlimited, the luxury brokerage responsible for marketing the fabulous Ferretti family of boats to the South Pacific Region.
|Ferretti 881 Yachting Unlimited .|
While in the Pyrmont area we learned of an exciting array of special attractions planned for the National Maritime Museum to mark Australia Day (January 26).
The Melbourne International Boat & Lifestyle Show takes place at the Docklands over the February 1-3 weekend.
Another date to remember occurs in late February (22-24) at Rosehill Gardens when the Boating Industry Association of NSW plays host to the top marine retailers at the annual summer clearance exhibition, the Rosehill Gardens Boat Show.
Powerboat-World will be there to report on all the products on show and catch up with the latest boating news from across the harbour city.
This week we also bring a report on boat sales, big boat sales, in China.
Seems big boats have become the status symbol for wealthy Chinese and there's more and more of them emerging every day.
And you can try your skill at weather forecasting at sea.
Find out just how good (or bad?) you are.
Have you had a look at the F1 Superboat Calendar, lots of fun ahead..
Plenty of other news this week on Powerboat-World and this is right where you keep up with all that's happening on the water.
