With just over a week to NCYC’s Forgacs Defence Inner Spring IRC Regatta the weather is warming up, the sun is out and numbers are looking good for the event!

With entries surpassing 20 yachts for this year’s Inner Spring Regatta to be run on the waters off Newcastle over the seventh to ninth of September and the IRC is racing looking very competitive!

Joining the IRC fleet will be five or six Farr 40’s who in addition to racing in the IRC regatta will also have the opportunity to stretch their legs on the Sunday morning with an additional one design offshore windward leeward race being run for them prior to the Farr 40’s once again joining the remainder of the IRC fleet for the double points 20-30 mile longer race to wrap up the regatta.

With a professional race team headed by Ted Anderson and Richard Howard, free berthing for a week either side of the regatta at NCYC’s marina, a great social program including after race drinks, a band and even a Clown making an appearance for the kids the regatta will be just as much fun off the water as on.

Sydney Hobart – New rulebook?
Is it time for a new rulebook when it comes to the Hobart? Will BNC my Net be the Overall Winner? Is it time for a new rulebook when it comes to the Hobart? Maybe throw out things like go out early and come in late? Find the South flowing East Australia Current, and then use it? Maybe 2025 is the year of asking that question...
