With rock climbing, zorb balls and native animals and reptiles, there truly is entertainment for the whole family at next month's National 4x4 Outdoors Show and Fishing and Boating Expo at the Melbourne Showgrounds, 22-24 August.

'At this year's Show, we have a dedicated children's area known as Kids' Terrain to occupy the young ones while the adults are entertained by all the latest products, accessories and special exhibits,' Paul Mathers, Event Director said.

'Instead of kids climbing the walls at home, bring them along to the Show where they can try their hands at rock climbing, with other activities guaranteed to entertain (and tire) them including the Aerobounce bungy trampolines, zorb ground balls, and the fan favourite, the jumping castle.

'Animal lovers of all ages will enjoy getting up close to the native animals and reptiles on display and learning more about them from the Blacksnake Productions team ... Plus Chris 'Brolga' Barnes, star of the Kangaroo Dundee TV series will be appearing on the Waeco Outback Stage sharing his stories and adventures,' he continued.

Kids' Terrain will also host the CFA Fire Safety Education Bus, all about educating children on home fire safety and summer fire safety in a fun and interactive way.

The nearby Action Arena will host motoX action with Matt Schubring of Crusty Demons fame performing stunts in between the 4WD time trials, Ragged Edge Rock Crawlers show and Black Jack Monster Truck rides.

Budding chefs will also enjoy seeing the stars of The Great Australian Doorstep, Sheree and Peter 'Spida' Everitt cooking up a storm at the Campfire Cooking Corner, along with a number of special guests.

With over 34,000 square metres dedicated to the boating, fishing, touring, towing and 4x4 arenas, the show is the premier exhibition for outdoor enthusiasts and families alike, featuring tens of thousands of products on display and masses of show specials.

The 2014 National 4x4 Outdoors Show and Fishing and Boating Expo will be held at the Melbourne Showgrounds from August 22-24, please go to 4X4 Show for further information and to purchase tickets.
