Strait Ends wins Ross 780 NZ Nationals at Napier

The 2015 Ross 780 Nationals was sailed in Napier on the same course as the Hartley 16 Nationals.
Seven boats from Wairoa, Napier, Wellington and New Plymouth turned out for the regatta held in great sailing conditions. James Sandall skippering Strait Ends representing the Wairoa Yacht Club produced 7 wins of the 9 race series and backed it up with 2 second places to dominate the regatta.
Second place went to the Napier Sailing Club crew of Fine Entry skippered by Karl Banks, third overall went to Muritai Yacht Club skipper Scott Baker in XTsea.
The Handicap winner was New Plymouth skipper Wally Eady in Lightfingers. The Ross 780 Nationals will be held in New Plymouth next season, again in conjunction with the Hartley 16 Nationals.
