Sailtrim App – for iPhone and iPad and Android

by Sail-World on 26 Nov 2014
All functions - Sail Trim app SW
Backstay, traveller, luff tension – what effect do they cause? The App „Sailtrim upwind one' is available in the Apple App Store and Google Play Store

The first animated trim app 'sailtrim upwind one' is available for Android at the Google Play Store and also in the App Store for iPhone and iPad. The application makes it fun and easy for users to learn what happens when you operate different trim elements on a sailing boat.

The user can select the sail (main or headsail) and will receive a selection of different trim functions which can be trimmed and eased virtually using slide controls. The user can simultaneously view the changes in the sail shape and see the wind and wave conditions that the settings are best suited to. The changes to the profile can be seen from every angle, as the entire rig can be rotated on the vertical axle.

The app 'sailtrim upwind one' is aimed for sailors of all levels from beginners to advanced. The easy handling and the clearly arranged amimation makes it perfect for sailing schools and sailing students.

'Sailtrim upwind one' is available for iPhone and iPad at the Apple App Store and for Android at the Google Play Store for the price of US $ 1.99. The Desktop-Verison (MAC / Windows) can also be downloaded free from the Website
