One of the most anticipated events on this year’s FNQ sailing calendar, Sail Townsville begins on the 23rd of August. This twelve day event is a culmination of SeaLink Magnetic Island Race Week and a Yachting Queensland Multi-Class Regatta.

Entries are still open for Yachting Queensland’s regatta that is open to all ‘off the beach’ classes and includes the Queensland F18 State Championship, Queensland Taser State Championship, Kite Townsville Championship, Sail Townsville Open Dinghy Regatta and the North Queensland Youth Championships.

If you wish to enter any of these events please register here: Register Here website

These events will be held at Townsville Sailing Club showcasing the pristine waterways of the area.

Further, Yachting Queensland is facilitating a Discover Sailing Week at the Club. The Discover Sailing Week will give primary school children and members of the community the opportunity to experience how safe and fun sailing is.

If you are interested in participating in the event please register here: Register Here website

Everyone is welcome to come along and watch the events at this truly spectacular location. Kite Townsville is expected to be a particularly exciting event with a number of entrants being regulars on the kiteboarding circuit.

Sail Townsville will provide a massive boost for sailing in FNQ and is certainly an event not to be missed!
