May 8th, 10am start at Pt Chev was first race of the Point Chevalier Autumn Series.
The smell of mothballs was absent from the car park :-) - the Zephyrs were racing AKL Champs at Manly.
Instead the car park was filled with different boats.
The Hobie Fleet 46 guys led by Zane Bloomfield made a visit along with their honorary Nacra members.
Sea Scouts sailing Lasers and Sunbursts were present as well as a cutter, plus a good mix of club members including Sunbursts, Lasers, 3.7 and Javelin.
The forecast had been pretty rugged, but it blew through in the night and it was actually a pretty calm day with not enough wind. Three races took place with the last one shortened.
The next race day is May 22nd also at 10am.
