A purpose built sail loft at Seaview Marina in Lower Hutt will deliver North Sails sales and service to boats in the Wellington region.

The Loft is owned by two local yachties who both have extensive backgrounds in the marine industry: David Molen is highly experienced in the sail making business and has worked with an America’s Cup syndicate, and Todd Olson is a former employee of North Sails in Bermuda, where he was involved in the Bermuda Gold Cup Match Racing event for many years.

'We believe in providing the best service, high quality products and materials,' says Todd Olson. 'The opportunity came up to secure the loft space and to form a relationship with North Sails New Zealand, and we decided the timing was right.'

As the North Sails agent for Wellington, Seaview Sails will provide new sails for boats of all sizes, and on all budgets, from Optimists through to Keelboats.

'North Sails is the premium brand in the world, and their quality, design and service are second to none. Selecting a North sail for your yacht will provide you with many years of trouble-free sailing.'

'We welcome Todd and David onboard,' says Andrew Wills of North Sails. 'Their experience and ability to provide a fantastic level of North Sails service to our many customers in Wellington, is a great asset to our organisation.'

Seaview Sails also provides rigging, canvas covers and repairs, residential canvas and rigging, sail repair, sail alterations, sail re-cuts and mooring lines.

A pick and drop off service is available.
