North Sails, the industry leader in innovation, has created a sustainable alternative to elastic bands or wool ties used to pack downwind sails.

StopTabs™ eliminate the need for packing materials that inevitably litter the water. North’s convenient solution allows sails to maintain their performance while complying with ISAF’s environmentally friendly Rule 55.

North’s StopTabs™ contain downwind sails for hoisting, providing green-minded and rule-compliant sailors a light and reusable option for ultra-fast downwind sets, while minimising time spent downstairs packing your sails. The tabs use a quick-release process, allowing the sail to expand easily as it is sheeted in and fills with wind. StopTabs™ can be supplied on new downwind sails or retrofitted to existing downwind sails.

North’s StopTabs™ can be applied to your sails for the incredibly low price of $10 per meter of luff or $60.00 if you are only applying StopTabs™ to the tack of your sails.

If you would like more information on North’s StopTabs™ or have them applied to your sails contactdan.bush@northsails.com
