The NZMYC Boat Show is free admission to the public and is run on a volunteer basis, a gold coin donation is always welcome.

Just by turning up members of the public could be in to win $150 worth of resin. The (New Zealand Multihull Yacht Club (NZMYC) owns and runs the Coastal Classic every year as is run by volunteers, we base ourselves in the Royal New Zealand Yacht Squadron and all the races and cruising events are run from the Club.

The yachts on display are some of the latest racing machines, . There is a excellent examples of the 8.5 class on display and there are a few for sale including the famous Timberwolf. Little Wing is a solo racer across the Tasman, Donald King is the owner.

The designers are there to offer advice on the latest designs from a small racer to a luxury super yacht. We are lucky to have Peter Melvin from Morrelli & Melvin a famous design firm with experience in the Americas Cup.

RORC Caribbean 600 – Epic win for Bella Mente
Bella Mente counted 85 sail changes and at one point, both yachts were way-over canvassed, smoking along at 30 knots The lead in the Maxi72s changed hands on seven occasions during the race. RORC Caribbean 600 – Day 3 – Phaedo3 takes multihull line honours
While the multihull race record was not broken this year Phaedo3 and Maserati had an incredible 600 mile high-speed duel Phaedo3 held on to win the battle of the trimarans, just 12 minutes ahead of Giovanni Soldini's Italian MOD70, Maserati. The high-speed battle saw the lead change hands at least four times during the race.

WMRT Geographe Bay Cup – David Gilmour still leads, but under pressure
The thrills and spills came fast on Geographe Bay, with the wind still virile, in 15 to 25 knot range during the day. It is all local skippers at the top of the leaderboard after day two of the regatta, with Matt Jerwood and Gilmour’s younger brother Lachy also just one point off the lead.

David Gilmour and his team are top of the leaderboard at the Geographe Bay Cup on the World Match Racing Tour David Gilmour and his team are top of the leaderboard at the Geographe Bay Cup on the World Match Racing Tour, after what was a short but action packed session on the water. He won all three races contested, but two other skippers are also undefeated, but sailed fewer races.
