The 2016 12' Skiff Interdominion Trials were held on the weekend of the 26-27th November. Seven boats were part of the trials, including a representative from Wellington.
Six windward/leeward races were scheduled for the weekend, but due to strong winds on Sunday, only three races counted towards the overall results.
Tim Barlett and Matt Hix sailing Frankie took the overall win with 2,3,1 followed by Graeme Laurie and James Fleet on 12 Gauge who were second with 3,2,3.
The New Zealand Team will head to Brisbane for the Interdominions with racing taking place on Moreton Bay. Sailing from Darling Point Sailing Squadron, the fleet will have their work cut out for them with the treacherous short, sharp chop that the Bay delivers.
