Day three of the Hydrofoil World Pro Tour Final Round brought with it perfect conditions for fast kite racing. The Fremantle Doctor, the local sea breeze that kicks in reliably during Perth summer months, arrived early and when the first of today’s six races began, was registering 16 to 18 knots with gusts just over 20 – similar conditions to day two, but with less venom in the gusts.

The famous Fremantle Doctor teased officials and riders alike on the first day of final round of the Hydrofoil Pro Tour The famous Fremantle Doctor teased officials and riders alike on the first day of competition in the final round of the Hydrofoil Pro Tour hosted by the Cruising Yacht Club of WA in Rockingham, in Perth’s south. A gentle north westerly wafted over the course area for most of the day, finally giving way to the south westerly Freo Doctor at about 3pm, but only at 10 knots.

Women candidates polled the highest in the election for Vice-President at the just concluded World Sailing General Assem Women candidates polled the highest in the election for Vice-President at the just concluded World Sailing General Assembly. There were fifteen candidates for seven positions on the former Executive Committee now the Board of World Sailing. In the full voting results just released by World Sailing, female candidates took three of the top four positions.

World Sailing Council meeting concludes in Barcelona
. The meeting of the World Sailing Council has concluded in Barcelona, Spain after two days of discussions, debates and presentations at the 2016 Annual Conference. More than 1,000 delegates gathered in Barcelona to join the conversation and the meeting of World Sailing Council saw them vote on the recommendations made from the expert committees across the week.
