One of the things photographers like to do when there is no wind, is to cruise through the fleet getting close ups and othe shots that don't normally happen when there is racing.

Sail Auckland 2011 got underway today with nine fleets racing on three courses scattered up the Hauraki Gulf north of Ta Sail Auckland 2011 got underway today with nine fleets racing on three courses scattered up the Hauraki Gulf north of Takapuna Beach in a westerly offshore breeze which was light and shifty at times but provided good racing across all classes.

Competition starts on Thursday [3rd Feb] continuing through until Sunday [6th Feb] with a scheduled start time of 11am each day.
