Kerikeri High School Open team has won the Maersk Zealand Trophy at the National Secondary Schools Team Sailing Champion After only placing second at last year’s event, behind Auckland Grammar School, the Kerikeri High School Open team has won the Maersk Zealand Trophy at the National Secondary Schools Team Sailing Championships, recently held at Algies Bay, Warkworth. Steady consistent racing saw them place second in all round robins, which gave them top position on the Regatta Points table.

In two of those the RS:X Windsurfing event, New Zealand is unlikely to be represented in the Men's event, and in the Women's event, Natalia Kosinska would appear to be a borderline selection.

Six New Zealand crews will sail in tomorrow’s medal races on the final day of the regatta Peter Burling and Blair Tuke have once again secured 49er gold before starting the medal race, this time at 2016 Sailing World Cup Hyeres in France. Another six New Zealand crews will sail in tomorrow’s medal races on the final day of the regatta.

2016 Olympic aspirant Natalia Kosinska had another trying day at the Sailing World Cup Hyeres 2016 Olympic aspirant Natalia Kosinska (NZL) had another character-testing day at the Sailing World Cup Hyeres in the Women's RSX Windsurfer. However, she moved up the leader board to lie 28th overall in the 40 strong fleet and placed ninth in the first race of Day 2.

Murrays Bay Sailing Club (MBSC) hosted the Windsurfing Nationals over ANZAC weekend. Murrays Bay Sailing Club (MBSC) hosted the Windsurfing Nationals over ANZAC weekend. 34 Sailors raced in the RS:X, Techno, Kona and Raceboard classes. It is the first time in recent history that centreboard windsurfers had sailed in one regatta.

At the close of Day 2 2016 Sailing World Cup Hyeres, the NZL Sailing Team are in the top two in three events At the close of Day 2 2016 Sailing World Cup Hyeres, the NZL Sailing Team are in the top two in three events, with a nine kiwi crews placed within the top ten in their various classes. While Day 1 was sailed in fresh to strong winds, today things turned around, and the sailors faced the challenge of a no wind delay, followed by a shifty building breeze.

Their mugger was the infamous Mistral which came though as predicted, catching the Kiwi sailors in the Womens Windsurfer and Womens Singlehander a little unawares.
