Right up until the last minutes before the 1,111 sailors from 59 nations head out onto the water at the ISAF Sailing World Cup Hyères, they are busy tweeting up a storm.

Whether it’s letting their thousands of followers know how they got on, sending a cheeky picture of themselves doing the business out on the water or posting their own generated content a large number continue to post.

We’ve picked up a few of the best tweets of the town from ISAF Sailing World Cup Hyères after the first couple of days in the French Riviera.

ISAF Sailing World Cup Hyères- RS-X Gold Medals go to Europe + Video
Germany and Poland won the Gold medals in the RS:X events in Hyeres. Poland also won the Mens Silver Germany's Moana Delle brought her Olympic sailing career to a glorious end as she claimed gold in the Women's RS:X, at the ISAF Sailing World Cup Hyères. Piotr Myszka (POL) had Men's RS:X gold wrapped up in advance of the Medal Race.

ISAF Sailing Cup - A spectacular week of racing in Hyeres, France has tested the fleets with a full schedule of races 2014 ISAF Sailing World Cup Hyeres - A spectacular week of racing in Hyeres, France has tested the fleets with a full schedule of races and wonderful weather on the French Riviera. Day five of the regatta brought more wind again for the fleet, and challenged even the very best. The regatta culminates with three theatre style races for each of the 49er and 49erFX fleets.
