Former Volvo Ocean Race winner, Mike Sanderson, caught on video flying high in his foiling SL 33, Stratis.

Conditions were described as very gusty and with good seas, making for challenging sailing, but Sanderson and his crew from Doyle Sail really put the foiling catamaran through her paces, sailing on the 2000-2003 America's Cup course, and more recently training ground for the AC72's.

Doyle Sails New Zealand has announced that Stu Bannatyne has joined their team as Grand Prix Race Sales & Projects rep Doyle Sails New Zealand has announced that Stuart Bannatyne has joined their team as Grand Prix Race Sales and Projects rep. Best known for his Volvo Ocean Race record of seven events winning three. He has broken the world 24 hour monohull record on five occasions. He wss named New Zealand Yachtsman of the Year in 2009. Bannatyne is also an ISAF World Youth Champion in the Laser class.

Doyle Sails are now offering six apprenticeship positions per year in their Auckland loft For those who aspire to be a professional sailor an apprenticeship in sailmaking is one of the best points of entry to consider and there are opportunities now at Doyle’s Auckland loft. “We currently have six apprentices working at the Doyle loft, but will be upping this to six new apprentices a year,” says David Duff, General Manager at Doyle NZ.
