Big fleet chase Worlds slot on line in first RS Feva Nationals

2014 Allen RS Feva World Championship - GBR5784 Peter Newton
The largest ever gathering of RS Fevas in NZ will contest the RS Feva Nationals.

The Water Shed RS Feva NZ Nationals will be held over this weekend from Milford Cruising Club on Auckland's North Shore.

We have 26 entries for very first National Championship and first prize will get to represent New Zealand and get a new charter boat for the RS FEVA WORLD CHAMPIONSHIPS later in the year in Germany.

The RS Feva was introduced into New Zealand 8 years ago but in the last 2 years has really grown with private individuals and clubs buying the RS Feva as a junior training boat.

The RS Feva seems to have found a place in New Zealand sailing as it is simple to rig and has a low maintenance plastic hull. It really caters for the Opti, P Class or Starling sailor who is getting style with there sailing and wants to sail with some mates and have fun. It is the perfect stepping stone for a Skiff for any boy or girl from 11 years old and up.

Today there is coaching from myself(Dan Slater) from 1-4pm for all competitors that I hope to pass on some racing and tuning tips to all new comers to the class.

Saturday and Sunday racing begins at 10:30am with the first race of each day beginning with a La Mons start of Milford beach.

Anyone interested in the RS Feva Class we welcome them to come down and check out the racing and what we hope will be the start of a very strong junior class in NZ.
