There is still the opportunity to enter for events at the Ports of Auckland Anniversary Regatta, which gets underway on Monday, February 1, 2016.

All entered have the opportunity to win one of two pairs of return flights to Hawaii (and back) courtesy of Hawaiian Airlines.

Tugboat Race Safety Message

Please be aware there will be a tugboat race in the inner harbour on Anniversary Day Monday 1st February. The race will start off Princes Wharf at 1000hrs and the ‘wash' is expected to create some rough water across the harbour particularly at the start. Please note the prohibited navigational areas (marked in red) which are off limits to all recreational craft.

Sea Scouts


The Sea Scouts are launching at 0945hrs at Narrow Neck Beach and sailing round into the harbour. We look forward to seeing you all out there!

Radio Controlled Yachting



Ports of Auckland Anniversary Regatta once again welcomes all radio controlled yacht skippers to participate in racing at two venues. 1000hrs: Electron Fleet at Westhaven Marina. 1000hrs: International One Metre, Marbleheads and RG65’s at Wattle Farm, Manurewa. Spectators welcome and the Westhaven venue is easily reached along the boardwalk.
 

Breakfast on Kawau


Established in October 2015 the Kawau Boating Clubis enjoying it’s second successful summer catering for the needs of the 1000+ members, locals and the general boating community. Kawau Boating Club is located up the Bon Accord Harbour – only a short trip from Sandspit or a lovely cruise from Gulf Harbour and Auckland marinas. For those on the Kawau to Auckland passage race book your breakfast here
 

Kiwi Raid gets underway

On Regatta Day a group on adventurous rowers and sailors in St. Ayles skiffs will be making their way from the Mahurangi River to Kawau as part of their fortnight long raid event. More info

PRIZE DRAW TERMS AND CONDITIONS
Hundreds of dollars are given away in prize money with a fantastic line up of spot prizes from our generous regatta sponsors.

CASH PRIZES: We are delighted to confirm that cash prizes will be awarded but skippers must be present to claim cash prizes unless residing 50km from the Royal NZ Yacht Squadron and unable to attend the Prizegiving in which case prize funds will be transferred online to the winning skippers bank account.

If you are an 'out of town' skipper (50km from RNZYS) please let us know before the Prizegiving if you are unable to attend - 0800-REGATTA or admin@regatta.org.nz

SPOT PRIZES: These will be drawn on the night and all skippers are eligible to have their names in the hat ON CONDITION you rsvp that you will be attending the Prizegiving and be present  -  ‘all' skippers means every one of you who paid an entry fee and competed, regardless of place on the day.  Spot prizes will be redrawn if the winning skipper is not present.

America's Cup Defender christened "Taihoro"
Cup Defender named “To move swiftly as the sea between both sky and earth.” In a stirring ceremony, Iwi Ngati Whatua Orakei gifted and blessed the name ‘Taihoro' on the boat that Emirates Team NZ will sail in their defence of the 37th America's Cup.
