The Swedish professional racing team, Artemis racing, have confirmed that they are one of the two new Challengers who lodged their entry on the 1 November with the Golden Gate Yacht Club.

The Challenge is still subject to verification and confirmation by the America's Cup Race management organisation, however this is should be a formality.

Led by Chairman, www.artemisracing.com/pages/team/torbjorn-tornqvist!Torbjorn_Tornqvist and skipper www.artemisracing.com/pages/team/paul-cayard!Paul_Cayard, details of the Challenge will be announced at a Media Conference held in Stockholm, Sweden on Monday afternoon, 8 November at 1.30pm local time.

The Swedish team competes on the Louis Vuitton Trophy, RC44 and TP52 circuits with a www.artemisracing.com/pages/team!substantial_multinational_team comprising many of the top sailors from the America's Cup and other circuits.

It will be a first time America's Cup Challenge for the team, which has no multihull experience as a team, but does have listed crew with multihull racing in their repertoire.

The team won the Audi MedCup in 2007 and also won the TP52 World Championship that year.

The first Louis Vuitton Trophy took place in Nice (France) in November 2009 at which Artemis finished 7th overall; followed by Auckland (NZ) in March 2010 - 4th overall; and La Maddalena (Italy) in May 2010 again 4th overall. They will compete in the final edition of the LVT in Dubai, next week.

Recently Artemis Racing added Terry Hutchinson (Helmsman) and Cameron Appleton (Strategist), for the Dubai round of the Louis Vuitton Trophy.

Artemis Racing represents the Royal Swedish Yacht Club in Stockholm, which will be the venue for the announcement on Monday afternoon. The event will be attended by Jacob Wallenberg, Commodore of the KSSS, Torbjorn Tornqvist, Chairman Artemis racing, Richard Worth, Chairman of the America's Cup Event Authority, Paul Cayard, CEO Artemis Racing and Russell Coutts CEO of BMW Oracle Racing
