Shirley Robertson and the CNN Mainsail team have been DownUnder in December and filed these three video reports on the state of the America's Cup programs in New Zealand and Australia.

Robertson, a double Olympic Gold Medalist, talks with Emirates Team New Zealand Grant Dalton and Dean Barker, plus top international commentator, Peter Montgomery. Barker also takes her for a spin around the race track in his saloon car.

Across the Tasman, she sails on Wild Oats XI, and talks with the Challenger of Record Principal, Sandy Oatley, and the CEO of Team Australia, iain Murray.

It is understood that a regatta possibly featuring the AC50 foiling catamaran used for the 35th America’s Cup, which Bermuda hosted this year, could be held on the Great Sound.'

OK, the decision has been reached – the next America’s Cup will be held in monohulled yachts. The announcement was made jointly by the holders, the Royal New Zealand Yacht Squadron, and the Challenger of Record, the Circolo della Vela Sicilia, but there were no further details.

A 26 year old man appeared in the Bermuda Magistrates Court charged with the death of New Zealand visitor A 26 year old man appeared in the Bermuda Magistrates Court charged with the death of New Zealand visitor, America's Cup fan Mary McKee. Bermuda News reports that Andrew Lake, of Southampton, was charged with unlawfully killing Mrs McKee in June of this year.
