by Richard Gladwell on 7 Feb 2013
Emirates Team NZ AC72 is described as a refinement of what has gone before with the first boat. Richard Gladwell www.photosport.co.nz

Emirates Team New Zealands's Technical Director, Nick Holroyd talks about the changes that have been made to the latest AC72 for the team, and gives his thoughts on what is being seen of the teams now sailing in San Francisco.

Of his own team's new catamaran, Holroyd says it is a refinement of what has gone before, and describes what is being achieved with the new wingsail pod, plus the new underdeck structure.

This video features many still images to illustrate the design nuances of the AC72, and in many ways this video is a primer on AC72 design thinking and concepts.
