NZ Rigging to present at SailFiji Race seminar at Royal Akarana YC

Rigging expert, Richard 'Bart' Bearda (NZ Rigging) will be giving a presentation tonight April 10, 2014 at Royal Akarana Yacht Club.

He will be part of a panel advising on how to prepare sails and rigging for the testing ANZ Sail Fiji race which starts on Saturday June 7. The cruiser rally leaves on June 2, 2014.

While the presentation is of particular interest to all competitors, all are welcome to attend.

Also speaking will be Rodney Keenan (Evolution Sails) and Brian Kent of Tauranga Boat Sales, who will share his experiences when the yacht Squealer of which he was a part owner dropped her rig in the l2013 race about 250nm from the finish.

She continued to Fiji under jury rig and motor.

The session starts at 7.00pm tonight, Thursday April 10 at Royal Akarana YC
