The Royal Corinthian Yacht Club Cowes is ecstatic to announce that Musto has become the title sponsor of the 2013 Musto Vice Admiral's Cup. Musto has been a sponsor partner of the event since its inception in 2005, and their decision to upgrade their role to title sponsor is a most welcome endorsement of the event's successful growth. Now in its ninth year, the 2013 edition will take place between Friday 17th and Sunday 19th May.

'Musto is pleased to enhance its support to this highly competitive event on the British racing calendar. The Vice Admirals Cup is the perfect partner for Musto as we all know that the weather conditions in the Solent can be unpredictable! Musto offers a full selection of race-specific foul weather clothing to keep you warm, dry and comfortable without impeding your sporting performance.' - Nigel Musto, Musto Ltd

For 2013 this ever-popular regatta has extended its invitation list and will feature six different classes. Entries will be accepted from the 50-52 footers; 44-46' series production boats (minimum four produced) with a maximum IRC rating of 1.240 and a max SPA of 181.5 sq meters; the J/111 Class; the J/109 Class; the Quarter Tonner Class; and the SB20 Class.

Racing will take place on two separate courses in the central Solent using a combination of laid windward leeward courses and more traditional Solent 'round-the-cans' courses. Once again Race Officers Rob Lamb and Bob Milner will officiate, ensuring top quality racing for all.

Speaking for the Royal Corinthian, Rear Commodore Sailing Mike Till noted, 'We at the RCYC are delighted to have the support of Musto as Title Sponsor of this, our most important event of the year. Their brand, which is now such a World Wide one, is of great value to us all at RCYC and we look forward to a great event in association with them. We are also delighted that competitor support of the event continues to grow each year and look forward to welcoming many familiar faces and new friends at this year's regatta.'

Special rate block berthing has been arranged with Cowes Yacht Haven and entrant's wishing to take advantage of this offer and reserve a berth should indicate their requirements on the entry form.

As always the Royal Corinthian will look forward to welcoming competitors après sailing to relax at its historic waterside clubhouse. Thanks to the generous sponsorship of Musto, there will be a Musto Competitors Drinks Reception at the Club on the Friday and Saturday nights from 6.00 - 7.00pm to which everyone is invited. Following the reception on Saturday night there will be a two course steak barbeque for a cost of £16.00 a head on Saturday 18th May served from 7.00 - 9.00pm. Crews are asked to help with the organisation by ordering and paying for your tickets at the time of entry.
