Multihull Solutions signed a record number of sales orders at the recent Sanctuary Cove Boat Show, confirming multihulls are fast becoming a preference over monohulls for sail and power cruisers.

The multihull specialists signed four unconditional orders at the show valued at AUD$3.75million. These orders included three Summerland 40 power catamarans by Fountaine Pajot Motor Yachts and two Fountaine Pajot Hélia 44 sailing catamarans. Post-show orders have resulted in an additional AUD$2.2 million of sales.

Multihull Solutions managing director Mark Elkington said the Summerland 40 was enjoying recognition after the company had responded to market demands and made significant modifications.

'The Summerland 40 is arguably the very best value power catamaran on the world market, offering outstanding offshore performance, stylish comfort and incomparable fuel efficiency,' Mark said.

While two Fountaine Pajot Hélia 44s were sold at the boat show, another two orders were immediately signed in the days after the event. Fast becoming Fountaine Pajot’s most popular model in history, the shipyard has already sold 61 Hélia 44s worldwide since its launch less than a year ago.

'We had many people coming to the Sanctuary Cove Boat Show just to inspect the Hélia 44,' said Mark.

This exciting new blue water cruising catamaran delivers impressive offshore performance, optimal safety and ease of handling, and it is characterised by a contemporary design befitting much larger, luxury boats.

The 2013 Sanctuary Cove Boat Show was one of the most successful ever for the Multihull Solutions team. The marina stand was manned by a comprehensive team of 14 qualified staff who were kept busy handling queries and appointments from new and pre-owned multihull buyers as well as the growing base of existing loyal clients.

Multihull Solutions had four models on display at the show including the spectacular Catana 42, Fountaine Pajot’s Sanya 57 and Hélia 44, and the Summerland 40 by Fountaine Pajor Motor Yachts.

Mark Elkington said that although this year’s show had less on display in terms of boats, the quality of buyers was at its highest in years.

'This certainly was a true buyer’s show, and we noticed that visitors were far more serious about researching and purchasing than just enjoying a day out with the family,' Mark said.

Multihull Solutions is now gearing up for the Sydney International Boat Show from 1-5 August where it will showcase the Catana 42, Summerland 40 and Fountaine Pajot Salina 48 Evolution.
