University Of New South Wales student, Lisa Darmanin fulfilled a child hood dream. Today the Australian Sailing team welcomed Lisa and her helm Jason Waterhouse to the team. It is a special moment for any Australian athlete, when one makes the Australian Sailing team.

Darmanin is definitely on the right track in achieving her ultimate goal to represent Australia and win an Olympic medal at Rio 2016. The youth world champion is an Inspiration to all university sailors across Australia as she has managed to balance both her sporting and university commitments with ease.

Lisa has given lots of support, energy and encouragement to University Sailing. She is after all the 2012 Australian University National Fleet Racing Champion.
