Lack of sun and warmth don't deter sailors for Chester Race Week

Classic boats are fround on the same race course as morfe modern sloops - 2011 Chester Race Week Tim Wilkes
August 10th dawned brighter than the day before when 4 inches of rain fell in the Halifax/Chester areas. Cooler temperatures prevailed with cloud, but plenty of wind for the practice race. The forecast for the week looks like good wind, cloud, and less rain, which is better than sun with no wind! Many one-designs compete in this premiere Maritime regatta from the local Bluenose and IOD to strong J/29 and J/24 classes.
The regatta runs from August 10-13 out of Chester Bay, Nova Scotia.
