A night with Gary Jobson and National One Design Sailing Academy.
I can’t think of a better place to be on a cold winter’s night than in a dimly lit room, listening to the poetic stories of Gary Jobson. This is the kind of brilliant thinking being brought to us by National One Design Sailing Academy, who was also kind enough to allow me to warm up the crowd by regaling stories of Mini Transat racing and pushing a 6.5m mini through the Atlantic Ocean in miserable after miserable conditions.
Gary shared stories of the past, present and future of sailing, highlighted with fantastic video. His talk spanned adventures that people undertook running sailing schools around the world as liveaboards to sailing school and college racing, right up to the most recent America’s Cup and the technology behind the foiling AC boats.
What a great night! Looking forward to more great things from National One Design Sailing Academy!
