Sailors from twenty teams will launch the J/24 Midwinter Championship from Davis Island Yacht Club on Monday, February 11. Racing amongst the impressive list of participants will continue through Wednesday in Tampa, Florida.
It was just last November in Jacksonville, Florida that John Mollicone and his crew won the J/24 North American Championship. Sailing this week with Tim Healy, Geoff Becker, Dan Rabin and Gordon Borges, they are back in the south to claim another victory, but will have tough competition from the other J/24 opponents.
