The winning crew fron C-Quip - 2012 Marine Trades Challenge

The Marine Trades Challenge was staged again this year with teams of young apprentices from 15 organisations and three schools participating.

Their task was to build a boat from supplied kit inside three hours, and then then paddle, sail and finally motor their craft around a triangular course.

Two heats were held to pick the finalists. Plus three schools entered a separate event - all three coming from outside the Auckland area.
