Sanctuary Cove International Boat Show Mark Burgin
Queensland turned on its famous slogan 'beautiful one day, perfect the next' with only a few showers overnight to wash away the clouds, but not deter the punters.
Exhibitors are ecstatic with the weather - the first SCIBS for many years with 4 days straight of blue skies! In fact, complaints from media and exhibitors were of the heat and the UV exposure! Hats are doing a roaring trade, as are all the restaurants, food stalls and bars in the Village.
Social and networking events are a vital part of SCIBS and key to the atmosphere among exhibitors, who are unanimous that the excellent hours – 9 to 5 – of this boat show are among its key factors of appeal.
The vibe is great and comments include that the show has 'returned to the lifestyle event it once was'.
