After 17 years and 17 different skippers winning the coveted Championship trophy, the Gen XY team have made history taking out the trophy for a second time.

This year the 2012 regatta winners Brisbane’s Matthew Chew, Ashley Deeks, Brian Donovan and Paul Wyatt started the 2014 three-day regatta sailed off Mooloolaba, taking the lead with a strong first day and were never headed by the 33-boat fleet.

In the CYCA’S Land Rover Winter Series Fleet 2014 - a testing but rewarding Sunday for the 97 competitors in Race six of the Land Rover Winter Series with a strong south westerly breeze putting crews and boats through the ringer in the Cruising Yacht Club of Australia organised race.

The Australian Women’s Keelboat Regatta began as a Melbourne event in 1991 and twenty-four years on the national competition has drawn a record fleet and high calibre line-up from Victoria, South Australia, Western Australia, New South Wales and the Northern Territory. Three Victorian teams are sitting atop the divisional stack with one Monday race remaining in the annual series.
