Henri Lloyd in the land of the V8?

1-2 Audi victory at Bathurst …
One mountain, 12 hours and 1814km of track make the Bathurst 12 Hour Endurance Race one of the most gruelling motor sports races in the world, but all that separated this year’s winner and runner-up was one puncture.

The Le-Mans-winning Audi Team Joest pipped the star-studded Australian Audi team by just 0.7 seconds, after a puncture midway through heaped a 90 second pit-stop upon Craig Lowndes and his Aussie team. It was a 1-2 for Audi on debut. There to witness both the Audi R8 LMS cars roar down Conrod Straight through to the finish line was the team of Henri Lloyd Australia. Some may ask what a major marine brand was doing trackside, soaking up the Eau de Mount Panorama.

1-2 Audi victory at Bathurst …

One is an international leader of marine technical clothing, while the other is a Kaiser of the tarmac. Yet there is one over-arching theme that binds them together: the taste of champagne on the podium. Whether it may be Bass Strait or Bathurst, these two organisations are proven winners.

And it is no coincidence why both have been so successful in their respective fields. They each follow a similar formula. Audi calls it ‘Vorsprung durch Technik’ (progress through technology), whereas Henri Lloyd prefers ‘Intelligent Innovation’.

But no matter the language, they both translate to a commitment to technological innovation and an uncompromising dedication to quality, all in attempt to hand the sailor or driver that winning edge. That is why Henri Lloyd and Audi have been proudly sitting together on the winner’s podium for the past five years.

Henri Lloyd and Audi will be embarking on their next adventure together on the 4-6th of March for the Audi Sydney Harbour Regatta and in August for the Audi Hamilton Island Race Week.
