Celebrate the wonderful world of cetaceans – whales, dolphins and porpoises – in a special family fun day on Sunday 6 April inspired by our major new exhibition Amazing Whales – Evolution and survival.

Enjoy spectacular circus performances and creative arts and craft activities. Take part in lively interactive storytelling and have your photo taken with our cute roving whale characters.

A full day of fun is planned for all the family, including:

Kids On Deck: Crazy Cetaceans - Craft a creative cetacean hat, make a whale or dolphin conservation badge, a vinyl wall sticker or a whale sculpture. Dress up in silly sea creature costumes and play with interactive games. 11am – 3pm.

Whale Face Painting - Get your whale-face painted on- bottlenose snouts, barnacled cheeks, or perhaps an orca’s toothy grin. 11am - 3pm.

Film Screenings - Enjoy free screenings featuring some of our favourite cinematic cetacean stars. 10am – Flipper, 2.30pm – Whale Rider.

Whale of a Tale - Storytelling performances - Enjoy lively and interactive storytelling inspired by whales and dolphins. 11am, 12pm and 1pm.
