Power, Sail & Paddle 2012 is a FREE event showcasing everything you need to discover boating and to get on the water to enjoy Moreton Bay this summer on this weekend – 22 & 23 September - at the Moreton Bay Trailer Boat Club, Brisbane.

According to organisers, Power, Sail & Paddle will provide the unique opportunity to get hands-on experience on all manner of watercraft, with a huge array of family-friendly activities to complement the boating lifestyle displays.

This pre-summer exhibition coincides with the first week of the school holidays, giving families unprecedented access to expert advice to help match you with the right boat for your needs, as well as show specials and offers from dealers and manufactures from across South East Queensland

There will be displays of boats, marine accessories, electronics, chandlery and fishing tackle both on the land and on the water.

Riviera will show their new release 445 SUV for the first time in Queensland.

Sunfish will be running FREE Kids Marine Workshops across the weekend, there will be knot tying, fishing, fish identification and colouring in to keep the little anglers busy.

There’ll be fishing talks and demonstrations running across the weekend with speakers covering topics from Boating Safety to Marine Electronics and Fishing in Moreton Bay.

On both Saturday and Sunday afternoon at around 1.30pm the Bream Tournament boats will pull up at Moreton Bay Trailer Boat Club for their live weigh-ins, this is a first for the competition having the boats pull up in front of the weighing station and taking the fish straight from the boats to the scales. The boats will be open for inspection and you can talk to the teams after the weigh in is finished each day.

QLD Water Police Vessel, PV Brett T Handran, will be open for public viewing. This 22m aluminium catamaran valued at over $1 million is definitely one to check out.

The boutiques and restaurants of Manly Harbour Village combine to create the ideal atmosphere and interesting range of attractions for a great family day out.

Visit the website to register for a FREE sailing experience for both kids and adults thanks to Yachting Queensland – www.PowerSailAndPaddle.com.au
