Experts and great advice at Auckland On Water Boat Show

by Sail-World.com on 17 Sep 2015 Thousands of Kiwi boating, fishing and water sport enthusiasts are set to visit next week’s Auckland On Water Boat Show where they can seek expert advice and check out the hundreds of new boats and marine-related products on display.

The 24 to 27 September running of New Zealand’s largest on-water boat show sees Auckland’s Viaduct Harbour transformed into a giant showroom for tens of millions of dollars’ worth of yachts, launches, trailer boats, kayaks, paddleboards, jetskis, marine electronics, safety equipment, engines, specialist marine paints and pretty much anything you can think of that relates to water-based recreational activities.

“The Auckland On Water Boat Show is understandably renowned for the extensive array of large vessels accessible for all show visitors via the purpose-built, temporary marina alongside the Viaduct Events Centre,” says Michelle Khan, Auckland On Water Boat Show CEO. “And with more than 80 large sailing yachts, imported and New Zealand-built motor launches, and large trailerable inflatable and alloy boats on display this year, show visitors have an incredible variety of vessels to explore and talk to the builders, designers and owners about.

One product being displayed for the first time that’s attracted a lot of attention on the show’s Facebook page is the ‘Hook and Moor’ boat hook bought into New Zealand by Tenob Wholesale Marine. This integrated hook-and-line boat hook enables the user to thread a mooring rope through a mooring ring with a simple pull or push, at the same time bringing the mooring rope back onto the boat in one, easy motion.

Making sure you have the right safety equipment for all crew participating in your on-water adventures is a good topic to discuss with the knowledgeable team from RFD New Zealand, the longest-running safety and survival business in the country.
