Weta West Coast USA champs begin in two weeks at Richmond

by Miranda Powrie on 11 Sep 2013
Dave Berntsen giving ETNZ a run for their money on the downhill run! Weta Marine www.wetamarine.com

Looks like the Weta boys are having a great time in San Francisco, the atmosphere is electric and the guys (and gals!) are out training in anticipation of the Weta West Coast Champs, to be held at Richmond Yacht Club in two weeks.

The regatta promises to be an international affair, with Chris Kitchen (Mr Weta) from New Zealand and Robert Spencer from Dubai making the trip. Randy Smyth and Toni Sacco are coming from victory at the Weta North American's on the East Coast, can they beat 2012 West Coast Champ Jonathan Weston on his home waters?

There are still charters available, contact West Coast distributor dave(at)wetawest.com or Pierpont Performance Sailing, they are based in Ventura, CA and are coming up for the regatta.

All the info is on the Richmond Yacht Club website http://www.richmondyc.org/Cal2/EventShow.asp?event_id=513807&event_batch=1&assn_id=13823!click_here
