Leg 2 onboard Team Alvimedica. A difficult night of decision making saw an early morning jibe to the north, but not soon enough as the rest of the fleet had already gone. Although they may be far from home, old traditions aren't forgotten as the US crew aboard Team Alvimedica celebrate one of the great traditions. And the non-US crew partake of their first Thanksgiving, off the coast of Madagascar.
There's some of the traditional fare, adapted for the Volvo Ocean Race, and some messages and mementos from home.
Fortunately freeze dried turkey seemed to be off the menu, however there was talk of having deep-fried turkey as a replacement.
