Swan yachts ready to compete at Les Voiles de St. Tropez Nautor's Swan
Originally staged twenty-six years ago as La Nioulargue, the regatta gathers together the most extraordinary modern sailing boats alongside the most beautiful traditional yachts.
The event, this year its 18th edition, will run from September 26th to October 2nd. Racers from around the world come to do battle in the bay of Saint-Tropez while sailing enthusiasts flock to enjoy the fantastic spectacle.
15 Swan yachts from 115 ft to 39.1 ft, with their beauty, elegance and power will take part this year and they are sure to provide stiff competition to the other participants.
The Swan fleet includes the first three hulls of the innovative ClubSwan 50 which will make their mark racing for the first time in mixed fleet competition. This follows their first appearance at the Rolex Swan Cup, last week, where the largest ever fleet of 125 Swan yachts showed their skills on the course. The Rolex Swan Cup was also the perfect occasion to celebrate the 50th anniversary of the company together with all the Owners and crews (about 1800 people) travelling from around the world.
During Les Voiles de Saint Tropez, the eclectic Swan fleet will be represented in four of the existing Classes, with the main participation in Class IRC C, where 11 out of the 15 Swan yachts will be fighting for the Class Trophy, awarded by Edmond de Rothschild.
Nautor’s ClubSwan Award will also be presented to the best-placed Swan. Swan 45 Jeroboam, winner of last year’s ClubSwan Award, will be on the water to defend the title.
