Two intense days of competition - SetSail Black Sea International Regatta 2017 SetSail Nautic School
Excellent start for the 2017 Romanian sailing race season at the Setsail Back Sea International Regatta which took place on the 20 and 21st of May. Excellent wind conditions, 10-25 knots, powered the three inshore races demanding both strategy and sailing skills and the challenging offshore race. The regatta offered two days of spectacular racing in a 36-strong fleet, including modern and classic boats racing under ORC, Farr40, Bavaria 42, Grand Soleil 42 R and First 40.7.

After the two intense days of competition the proud winners were announced at the awards ceremony on Sunday afternoon: Simina at A class, Hope at B class and Pelican at C class.

Ovidiu Drugan, Master of Ceremonies and Director of Setsail Nautic School Romania thanked the sponsors, the Race Committee, volunteers and all involved for their tireless support.

The event was covered by ICARUS Sports, the leading media & marketing company specializing in the sport of sailing, yachting, water and outdoor sports.

Setsail Black Sea International Regatta is organized by Setsail Nautic School Romania, Black Sea Skippers Club and Yacht Club Electrica Balkan, under the authority of the Romanian Yachting Federation.
