Sail-World Team holds first Continental Conference at METS

by Brendan Maxwell on 23 Nov 2014
The world’s largest sailing media group, Sail-World.com, held its first continental group meeting at the Marine Equipment Trade Show (METS) this week. METS is the world’s largest B2B Marine show and this year it had a record 1358 exhibitors and more than 21,000 Marine industry representatives.

Sail-World’s Publisher Rob Kothe and Group General Manager Jedda Murphy met with North American principals John Kerr and Greg Nicoll and Sail-World Canada Editor Guy Perrin, Sail-World UK and European Editor Dan Ibsen and partners Soren Overup and Lars Kiaers.

Richard Gladwell from Sail-World NZ, Guy Nowell from Sail-World Asia and Sail-World Cruising and North American editor David Schmidt were also involved in discussions remotely.

Kothe said, ‘For Sail-World.com METS is a key business to business event, with all the major international marine companies exhibiting here. We had a heavy business agenda this year, with a lot of upcoming Sail-World product launches and technology advances. For Sail-World this will be a landmark year, our geolocating websites will continue to grow in number this year and our group signed off on a lot of important and innovative features, as we continue to expand our 24x7 operation world-wide.

METS 2015 will be held from 17 to 19 November in Amsterdam RAI Convention Centre and Sail-World will unveil a number of 2016 launches at that event.
