While the media talk about the work to be finished at the Olympic Village, sailors arriving in Rio are starting to enjoy the atmosphere of this great city.

People dancing in the street and making every day a day to smile… Brazilian character is spreading among the Olympic family and promises emotions at the highest level at South America's first Olympics.

Will the Brazilian sailors take advantage of the “torcida brasileira” and shine on the water when the sailing competition starts on Monday 8 August? World Sailing talked to Beijing 2008 medallist Isabel Swan and windsurfer Ricardo ‘Bimba’ Winicki.

For them Rio 2016 is a dream coming true that will leave an important legacy for the city, for Guanabara Bay, for the Brazilian sailing sport… and for the kids.
