The eighth Central European Alp-Cup Edition (Ceac), the Platu 25 Circuit that takes place in the European Alpine Lakes, is getting ready with the next appointment in Brunnen, in Urnersee, one of the four branches of the Luzern lake in Switzerland where the third Act will take place from the 29th to the 31th of August.

The most competitive Platu 25 crews are expected from all over Europe. Just two Acts are left and the next one could be crucial for the leading boats. British 'Reach Around' helmed by Christian Sutherland is leading the general ranking list at the moment. The second place is for Swiss boat 'El Miracle' helmed by Jan Van den Broek who won the first Act in Immenstaad, Germany (17-18 May). Third place is for Superbüsi', another very competitive Swiss crew led by Mathias Bermejo who performed very well in Gmunden at the Central European Cup, during the 11th Allianz Traunsee Woche (29-31 May), the biggest sailing event in Austria with fourteen different classes and about 600 yachtsmen on the course at the alpine lake.

Bermejo conquered the 2013 Alp Cup edition and he's defending the title this year. The competitive German/Austrian crew 'b 52Conquest' helmed by Walter Marlon is keeping the fourth position.

The Ceac is gathering crews from six different nationalities. Also this year, as first Main-Sponsor, 'Veleria Montefusco Sails' will support again the eighth Central European Alp-Cup 2014 with one new sail (Genua light H-bite) and one voucher of 50% of a new Platu 25 set of sails for the teams which run all four acts. As second Main-Sponsor, FSE-Robline with 2 Sail will present to the second to fifth placed team a set of high quality racing ropes customized for the Platu 25.

After the next Act in Brunnen, on Lake Lucerne, Switzerland from 29th to 31th of August (www.rv-brunnen.ch), the appointment for the Platu 25 International Class will be in Mandello del Lario, on Lake Como for the last Alp-Cup act from the 6th-7th September (www.lnimandello.it), last stage before the Platu 25 World Championship in Antibes, France from the 20th to 27th of September (http://www.sr-antibes.fr/régates/platu-25-world-championship-2014.html).
